The present invention relates to magnesium aluminate spinel ceramics containing calcium as an active ingredient and to a manufacturing method thereof, and specifically, to magnesium aluminate spinel ceramics containing calcium to simultaneously improve the sintering phase, mechanical strength, and transmittance, and to a manufacturing method thereof. The present invention provides the magnesium aluminate spinel ceramics containing 200 to 1,500 ppm of calcium as the active ingredient.
