Disclosed are an interface identifier (IID) structure among IPv6 addresses, a method for defining IID, and a communication apparatus performing the same. The IID structure among IPv6 addresses according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a U bit indicating the uniqueness of the IPv6 in the IID, and an FFFE_(16) bit located in the middle of the IID.
