The present invention relates to a server for recommending an optimal driving mode corresponding to a moving path of a vehicle and a method for recommending a driving mode using the same. According to one embodiment of the present invention, a driving mode recommendation server comprises: a first database for storing a general score of a preset road section; a second database for storing a driver score of the preset road section; a vehicle information reception unit for receiving identification information, current location information, and destination information of a first vehicle, which are transmitted from a first vehicle terminal; a path search unit for calculating a moving path of the first vehicle based on the received current location information and destination information, and calculating an autonomous traveling possible score of a road section included in the moving path of the first vehicle based on the stored general score and a driver score; and a path information transmission unit for generating path information including the calculated moving path and the autonomous traveling possible score of the road section and transmitting the generated path information to the first vehicle terminal.
