An objective of the present invention is to support creative thinking of a user in accordance with writing or speaking by the user while the user writes or speaks. In order to achieve the objective, a creative thinking support apparatus maintains nodes showing elements making up a proposition included in a document defining knowledge, information showing a first graph structure including edges showing relations between the elements shown by the proposition, and information showing an appearance order of relations in the document, receives input of a proposition, extracts elements included in the proposition and relations between the elements shown by the proposition, includes nodes showing the extracted elements, generates a second graph including the relations between the extracted elements as edges, and specifies relations appearing after relations shown by the second graph in the document if the corresponding relations are determined to be included in the first graph.
