The present invention relates to a medium composition for inhibiting mercury accumulation and enhancing mercury resistance in plants comprising glutathione as an effective component and to uses thereof, and more particularly, since the glutathione enhances the mercury resistance tolerance in plants and significantly inhibits the mercury accumulation, the composition can be used to grow crops in mercury-contaminated soil and water environments.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2018
