The present invention relates to a composition for enhancing salt stress tolerance of plants comprising a phenol-based polymer as an effective component and to uses thereof, wherein the composition for enhancing salt stress tolerance of the plants of the present invention for enhancing the salt stress tolerance of the plants is excellent in enhancing the salt stress tolerance of plants and can impart salt tolerance to plants germinated or cultivated in soil, thereby being useful for plants in high-salt and coastal areas.
