A method for distributing virtualized resources for efficiently distributing limited resources to virtual machines in a cloud computing environment and an apparatus thereof are disclosed. The method for distributing a virtualized resource in a cloud computing environment includes: a step of collecting the resource usage rate of at least one virtual machine operating in a cloud server by predetermined intervals; a step of estimating the resource requirement of the virtual machine using the resource usage rate; and a step of determining a resource to be allocated to the virtual machine based on a weight determined according to the resource usage rate and the resource requirement.
