Reflector Antennas for Reconfigurable Gain and Sidelobe Characteristics

According to the present invention, a reflector antenna capable of reconfiguring a gain and a side lobe comprises: an offset parabolic reflector which has a single focus and a midpoint height of a parabolic surface higher than the height of the focus, and is formed in a rhombus shape when viewed from the main radiation direction; and reconfigurable auxiliary parabolic reflectors which can be attached to the four corners of a rhombus-shaped reflector. The auxiliary parabolic reflectors include auxiliary parabolic reflectors of different shapes. The auxiliary parabolic reflectors of different shapes are reconfigured by an electrical and/or mechanical means. Auxiliary reflectors capable of reconfiguring a gain and side lobe can be attached to the four corners of a conventional offset parabolic rhombus surface to improve the gain and side lobe characteristics using various modes of a switch control unit when needed.
