The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating pruritus and a manufacturing method thereof. More specifically, the present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating pruritus comprising oil which contains Sasa borealis leaves, marigold flowers, smilax roots, and Rumex patientia roots. The pharmaceutical composition manufactured by the method of the present invention is a very useful invention in the pharmaceutical industry, because the composition can effectively alleviate the symptoms of itching caused heat rash, athlete′s foot, dry skin, bug bites from mosquito or other insects, and the itchiness from sequelae of shingles.
