The present invention relates to a method for operating a hammer operated by mud, comprising a high-pressure circuit, a low-pressure circuit, an impact, and a flushing circuit and providing a fast and accurate penetrating speed. The method for operating a hammer operated by mud allows penetration to be performed faster than a conventional rotary drilling in case of deep drilling, prevents a jamming situation caused due to falling of rock pieces due to the viscosity of the mud, and increase stability of the inner wall of a hole.
