FIELD: machine building.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power plant engineering. Method of lubrication of friction pair of piston-cylinder of free piston power module with external combustion chamber includes coolant handling pump, pistons and rods, piston cavities adjacent to the inner surface of the cylinder, radiator and control system, while the coolant handling pump of lubrication and cooling systems of pistons and rods of the power module pumps the coolant through the channels of pistons and rods, then enters the cavity of the pistons, contacts the inner surface of the cylinder, lubricates it, removes heat from the rods and pistons and through the radiator again flows to the pump for pumping the lubricating-cooling liquid. When the temperature of the rods and pistons is lower than permissible, the control system switches off the pump for pumping the cutting fluid and the temperature of the pistons and rods is increased.;EFFECT: invention provides lubrication of the piston-cylinder friction pair.;1 cl, 2 dwg
