The invention relates to a method for producing a fibrous web, preferably a paper - or cardboard web, in a fiber fabric web machine. The method according to the invention has the following steps: applying a fibrous pulp suspension from a headbox on at least a sieve into a wire section of the fiber material web machine, in order to form a fibrous material web; guiding of the fibrous material web by means of a press section of the fiber material web machine; and lead of the fibrous material web through a calender of the fiber material web machine. In the applying step, a foam-like liquid into the fiber stock suspension and introduced together on the screen, whereby the calender for calendering of the fibrous material web, either a strip calender, the at least one bandkalandrierzone, or a calender is, of the at least one calendering nip, and in which the fibrous web is cooled and in front of the degree of calendering is moistened.
