Automated recommendation for the use of echo contrast agents using machine-learning algorithms

In a computer-implemented method for improving the quality of medical ultrasound images, ultrasound data of a subject is obtained. The data obtained is subjected to automated analysis as to whether a change in a parameter of ultrasound data acquisition, in particular administration of ultrasound contrast agent to the subject, a change in contrast setting, signal gain, irradiated wavelength or received wavelength, improves a given quality measure of the ultrasound data , based on the ultrasound data. Finally, an indicator is output to a user based on the analysis of whether changing the parameter improves a quality measure of the ultrasound data.
