The method for displaying a current position of a wind shadow of a vehicle comprises detecting a current speed of the vehicle by means of the speed sensor. In a further step, the end face size representing the flow resistance in the direction of travel is detected. The detection of the face size is done for example by the first input of the driver by means of the input device or by reading a memory, which may be provided in the control unit. Subsequently, the current position of the wind shadow of the vehicle is determined as a function of the detected speed and the detected end face size by means of the control unit. In a subsequent step, a first projecting of the determined position of the wind shadow in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the vehicle to the rear and in the direction of the vertical axis of the vehicle down to the ground of the route is performed by means of a projector.
