The invention relates to a method for managing an automated system comprising a display and adapted to be controlled by a human operator and by at least one automaton, the method comprising a step of triggering a condition associated with a parameter of the system, a step of displaying said system parameter on the display in a parameter zone, a step of automatic change of state of the PLC between a first state of the PLC and a second state of the PLC following the triggering of the condition, a step of displaying said second state on the display in a second state zone. The method is characterized in that it further comprises a step of detection, by a device for monitoring the gaze of the operator of the areas of the display viewed by the operator and a verification step that the zones viewed comprise minus the second state zone and the parameter zone.
