A variable stator vane 3 for turbomachinery, comprising distinct first 18 and second 19 deicing fluid flow circuits in its interior, as well as means for selectively directing the majority of the fluid either inside the first or inside the second circuit, depending on the angular position of the vane with respect to its axis of rotation B. The two deicing fluid circuits may have respective inlets (18a, 19a, fig. 5) provided on a pivot 9 of the vane and angularly offset with respect to each other, selectively aligned with a hot air injection orifice (23, fig. 10) provided on the pivot bearing (22, fig. 10) by rotation of the vane. A groove (21, fig. 5) may extend from the first to the second inlet, its cross-sectional area preferably lying between 10% and 20% of that of an inlet. Preferably the first circuit has outlets 18d distributed axially along the vanes trailing edge 7 and receives most of the air at low speeds of the gas turbine. Preferably the second circuit has outlets 19e at an axial end of the vane, discharging air close to the trailing and/or the leading edge thereof in order to reduce turbulence.
