The invention relates to a cellulose filter paper for checking the ignition propensity of cigarette paper having a marking by which the rough surface of the filter paper can be distinguished from the smooth surface. The invention further relates to a method for the production thereof, to a method for checking the ignition propensity of cigarette paper, and to a kit having a plurality of such filter papers or stacks of such filter papers.
