PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing roller excellent in environmental resistance and durable printing performance while sufficiently preventing occurrence of filming.;SOLUTION: A developing roller 1 comprises a shaft body 2, an elastic layer 3 provided on the outer peripheral surface of the shaft body 2 and a coating layer 4 provided on the outer side of the elastic layer 3. The developing roller has spiral grooves with a lead angle in an axial direction on the outer peripheral surface of the elastic layer 3, where an axial interval of the spiral grooves is 0.01 mm or more and 0.3 mm or less and depth of the spiral grooves is 5 μm or more and 40 μm or less. The coating layer 4 includes a filler.
