To provide a shift lever unit which is compact and has a light weight.SOLUTION: A shift lever unit 1 in which a specified shifting operation is regulated in such a manner that a grouped pin 18 is pressed against a step provided on a detent window from a rotation direction, and on the other hand, the specified shifting operation is permitted in such a manner that it is possible to get over the step by displacement of the grouped pin 18 by a release operation. This shift lever unit comprises an engaging part 155A with which the grouped pin 18, of which elastic deformation occurs by a reaction force from the step, is engaged, and which regulates displacement of the grouped pin 18.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
