To provide a vehicle monitoring system capable of appropriately utilizing a log transmitted from a vehicle, as well as of reducing storage capacity.SOLUTION: There is provided a vehicle monitoring system 10 comprising a monitoring device 3200 and a server system 1000. The monitoring device 3200 determines whether a state of a vehicle 3000 is normal or abnormal; and transmits a normal log to the server system 1000 upon determination resulting in normal and transmits an abnormal log to the server system 1000 in a manner different from the normal log upon determination resulting in abnormal. The server system 1000 comprises a normal log storage part 1110 and an abnormal log storage part 1210 for storing the normal log and the abnormal log in a recognizable manner, respectively; and an abnormality detection device 1230.
