To provide a rapid and convenient method for measuring urinary prostaglandin E major metabolite (PGE-MUM) using immunochromatography and a kit capable of quickly and easily measuring PGE-MUM using the immunochromatography.SOLUTION: The method for measuring urinary prostaglandin E major metabolite (PGE-MUM) by immunochromatography comprises: a) a step of mixing urine sample with alkaline aqueous solution; b) a step of mixing the mixed solution of a) with the neutralizer; and c) a step of applying the mixture solution of b) to a strip for immunochromatography and developing the same. The neutralization solution contains an acidifying agent, a pH buffer that exerts a buffering capacity in the basic region, and a cationic surfactant.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
