To provide a shovel that store more efficiently data output by an information acquisition device that is mounted in the shovel.SOLUTION: The shovel according to embodiments of the present invention includes a lower traveling body 1, a revolving superstructure 3 mounted on the lower traveling body 1 rotatably, a cab 10 mounted on the revolving superstructure 3, a microphone 61 installed in the cab 10, a volatile storage device 52 mounted in the revolving superstructure 3, a nonvolatile storage device 53, and a controller 30. The controller 30 stores data output by an information acquisition device 51 that is mounted in the shovel in the volatile storage device 52. Based on output from the microphone 61, the controller 30 specifies part of the data stored in the volatile storage device 52 to store the part of the data in the nonvolatile storage device 53.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
