Compositions and methods for activating antigen presenting cells with chimeric poliovirus

Chimeric poliovirus can activate antigen presenting cells. The activation of the antigen presenting cells may be in vitro, ex vivo or in vivo. Activated antigen presenting cells can be administered alone or in conjunction with an antigen or a vaccine. Activated antigen-presenting cells can be antigen-loaded in vitro or ex vivo to form antigen-loaded activated antigen-presenting cells. These can be administered therapeutically. Therapeutic administration of antigen presenting cells can be used as an adjuvant for other therapeutics. [Selected figure] Figure 2A.
