PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a specimen simulating a deteriorated metal structure capable of accurately obtaining a residual wall thickness while avoiding occurrence of a crack in a final stage in relatively short time.SOLUTION: Disclosed is a method for reducing wall thickness of a metal structure simulating a specimen of deteriorated metal structure, which includes the steps of: cutting a specimen using a milling machine; and etching the cut specimen using ferric chloride solution.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
