To provide an end effector for gripping a grip object that grips a grip object in a stable manner, and that further grips the grip object in conformity with the grip object regardless of its properties, without complicating a structure of the end effector.SOLUTION: An end effector for gripping a grip object comprises: a force input coupling member 101; a grip member 102; a force transmission coupling member 106; and an arrest coupling member 107.
