To provide a water supply device capable of measuring the pressure of a carrying liquid with a pressure sensor even when the carrying liquid at high temperature is pumped, a method of controlling the water supply device, and a method of attaching the pressure sensor to the water supply device.SOLUTION: A water supply device for supplying overheated carrying liquid to a water supply target, includes: a pump for pumping the carrying liquid; a branch part which defines a conduit vertically contacting with a carrying channel of the carrying liquid; a branch pipe which communicates with the branch part; a pressure sensor which is attached to the branch pipe to measure the pressure of the carrying liquid; and a control part which controls the pump based on the pressure measured by the pressure sensor. The branch pipe is equipped with a thermal insulating part which suppresses heat transfer between the carrying liquid flowing in the carrying channel and the pressure sensor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
