PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus and a fixing control method that can reduce the occurrence of a fixing failure due to a reduction in voltage of a commercial power supply.;SOLUTION: An image forming unit 13 forms a toner image on a sheet. A fixing unit 14 heats the toner image to fix the toner image to the sheet. A detection processing unit 161 detects a reduction in voltage of a commercial power supply. A recording processing unit 162 records a result of detection performed by the detection processing unit 161 in a storage unit 15 as voltage reduction history information D1.
