PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of a power converter which can quickly determine that a short circuit failure of a switch has occurred.;SOLUTION: A control device 40 is applied to a power converter 10 including a drive switch 50 and a transformer 20. The control device 40 determines an overcurrent state in which overcurrent is flowing through a drive switch 50, based on the comparison between a detected current value CS and an overcurrent threshold value TC. The control device 40 determines that a short circuit failure of a drive switch 50 has occurred based on the comparison between a main short circuit threshold value TS1 smaller than the overcurrent threshold value TC and the current detection value CS in a period including a period in which an operation signal OUT is an off operation command.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2019,JPO&INPIT
