PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat recovery method that enables efficient and economical recovery of heat from heat sources scattered within a site of a plant, a steel mill or the like, a heat recovery device used in the heat recovery method and a carbon dioxide separation and recovery method.SOLUTION: In the heat recovery method, while a heating medium is circulated between heat sources and a heat use facility by sending out the heating medium to the heat source sides and returning the heating medium that has obtained heat through the heat exchange to the heat use facility side, the heat of the heating medium is recovered on the heat use facility side, and during the recovery, in accordance with change of heat quantity of each of the heat sources, the flow rate of the heating medium made to flow in each of the heat sources is controlled. In a heat recovery device, in accordance with the change of the heat quantity detected by heat quantity change detection means 7 in each of the heat sources 1, heating medium supply means 5 is controlled by a flow rate controller 8, so that the flow rate of the heating medium supplied to each of the heat sources 1 can be controlled.
