Control method of potato cyst nematodes

Provided is a practical method for controlling potato cyst nematodes by applying methionine alone, which exhibits a high nematode control effect even when the concentration of methionine applied is low. In this control method, 30 mg or more and 100 mg or less of methionine is applied to 200 g of soil inhabiting potato cyst nematodes. In one embodiment, it is preferable to apply 40 mg or more and less than 80 mg of methionine to 200 g of soil.
