PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide imaging system and method determining an order for applying to image acquisition setting while acquiring multiple images.SOLUTION: A system and a method acquire and decode multiple images. A first image is acquired and then processed, and decoding of a symbol is tried. Contribution of the first image to decode trial is specified. An updated acquisition setting order is determined based, at least partially, on the contribution of the first image to decode trial.
