PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability at the time of applying data to an on-vehicle computer such as ECU.SOLUTION: A maintenance device mounted on a vehicle executes: a data storage step of storing data applied to an on-vehicle computer mounted on the vehicle; a data generation step of generating new data applied to the on-vehicle computer by using update data supplied to the vehicle; an execution control step of performing control so as to apply the new data to the on-vehicle computer; a data re-generation step of re-generating new data applied to the on-vehicle computer by using update data supplied again to the vehicle when application of the new data to the on-vehicle computer fails; and a re-execution control step of performing control so as to apply the re-generated new data to the on-vehicle computer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
