PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an advanced drive support system that enables safe and sound drive operations, in particular even upon driving down specific segments necessary for users to pay attention to driving states of surrounding other vehicles regarding an advanced drive support system.SOLUTION: An advanced drive support system comprises: a retrieval unit that retrieves routes to destinations specified by users on the basis of map information; a storage unit that stores the map information; an advanced drive support control unit; and a mode determination unit that, when a prescribed condition is satisfied upon conducting drive operations in a manual drive mode, determines whether to switch over from the manual drive mode to an advanced drive support mode. When determining that a plurality of times of lane changes is required upon driving down an advanced drive permit road on the basis of the retrieved route, the mode determination unit is configured to output an inquiry of whether to conduct a mode switch with respect to the user assuming that the prescribed condition is satisfied, and receive the switch from the manual drive mode to the advanced drive support mode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
