With regard to a method for estimating the horsepower of a multi-axis ship equipped with propellers of three or more axes, a self-propulsion test is performed in which the model ship is advanced at an arbitrary speed while changing the rotation speed ratio between the propellers of each axis. Estimate the relationship between thrust ratio or torque ratio between propellers and self-propelled elements by regression analysis, and use the estimated relationship between thrust ratio or torque ratio and self-propelled elements for each axis based on the actual ship design.
