The purpose of the notification is to produce a colorimetric biosensor for the detection of Escherichia coli bacteria,which is characterized bythat by performing,known methods,the alkaline alkaline alkaline alkaline alkali -modified ferro -fluid is obtained by polyethylene amine,a biosensor matrix,which is rinsed at least three times with deionised water stabilising pH to a level of 7,then add the T4 bacteriophage in quantity 109 to 1 mg matrix and incubate at least 12 -hour temperatures from 5 -10 to C with shaking. The ferromagnetic particles carrying the T4 bacteriophage are then magnetically separated,remove supernatant,Rinse at least five times with an SM buffer and add a solution saturated with BSA bovine albumin in the amount of 1 mg albumin per 1 mL of ferromagnetic particles with T4 bacteriophages and the resulting biosensor (1) incubate for at least five hours at room temperature and rinse with the SM buffer every at least three times. The biosensor (1) in quantity of at least 100 mg shall be placed in a transparent glass vessel (3),buffer (2) of composition: phenol red 0,5,mMlactose 100 mM. The notification concerns a set for the detection of Escherichia coli bacteria,which is characterized bythat it consists of a biosensor (1) colorimetric matrix of a polyethylene -modified ferro -fluid with chambered T4 bacteriophages in the amount of 109 virions /100 mg matrix,which is a biosensor (1) placed in a transparent glass vessel (3),buffer (2),of composition: phenol red 0,5 mM,lactose 100 mM and from circular magnesium (4) allowing separation of the deposit during the detection procedure. The amount of the biosensor (1) in the glass vessel is at least 100 mg,and the amount of buffer (2) at least 0,5 mL. The set may contain an additional second glass vessel (3a),where there is a negative sample.
