The invention relates to a method for the purification of industrial flows of ethylene of interest, which can comprise at least the following: a first step in which the ethylene flow, together with acetylene and hydrogen, are brought into contact with the catalyst containing nanoparticles of iron oxide; a second step of heating the obtained mixture; and a third step of recovering the product.
