An aqueous composition comprising (a) at least one flavonoid that is baicalein or taxifoline; (b) ferulic acid; and (c) at least one additional antioxidant that is vitamin C or resveratrol, and where said flavonoid (a), ferulic acid (b) and antioxidant (c) are present in sufficient amounts to produce synergistic antioxidant activity.
