A server-based intelligent watering flowerpot system and a using method. Plants can be automatically watered according to environmental changes. The server-based intelligent watering flowerpot system comprises a flowerpot and a mobile terminal for controlling the flowerpot. The flowerpot comprises a temperature and humidity detection module, a light detection module, a water injection module, and a flowerpot communication module. The server receives information from the temperature and humidity detection module and the light detection module, and after analysis, determines whether soil in the flowerpot needs to be watered; and when determining that the watering is needed, the server sends a control instruction to the water injection module in the flowerpot.
