CONTINUOUS LIQUID MIXING FOR PRODUCING COMPOSITES DESTINED FOR USE IN ELASTOMERIC PRODUCTS

A continuous liquid mixing process and a system therefor is provided for producing a composite as a function of a selected rubber mixture recipe. A coagulum is formed within pre-defined coagulum production zones of a coagulation preparation installation. The formed coagulum is dewatered and converted into a pelletized material that is conveyed to a mixing installation (40). The pelletized material is metered into a complementary mixer (46) in which it is controllably advanced within pre-defined zones in the mixer (46) such that, for each zone, a residence time of the pelletized material is controlled and a target temperature of the pelletized material is realized prior to downstream conveyance thereof. The composite is discharged from the mixer (46) as a semi-finished rubber material.
