A method for producing a component of frustoconical shape in composite material comprising the following steps: placing a fibrous preform (200) of frustoconical or cylindrical shape in a female mould element (110), placing an impermeable membrane (120) so that it faces the exposed face (200a) of the fibrous preform (200), the space delimited between the internal surface (111a) of the female mould element (110) and the membrane (120) corresponding to an impregnation chamber (140), assembling a male mould element (130) with the female mould element (110), the membrane (120) being interposed between the male mould element (130) and the female mould element (110), the space delimited between the male mould element (130) and the membrane (120) corresponding to a consolidation chamber (150), injecting a resin (10) into the impregnation chamber (140), injecting a consolidation fluid (20) into the consolidation chamber (150), the consolidation fluid (20) applying pressure to the membrane (120) so as to force the resin (10) to impregnate the fibrous preform (200), polymerizing the resin so as to obtain a component made of composite material comprising a fibrous reinforcement densified by a matrix.
