[Problem] To realize a fish school finding device capable of efficiently acquiring information as a result of automatic setting of a measurement range. [Solution] A fish school finding device is provided with: an individual-fish detection unit 41 for detecting individual fishes on the basis of echo information obtained from ultrasonic waves transmitted in the depth direction at prescribed time intervals; an individual-fish-number calculation unit 42 for calculating the number of the individual fishes for every plurality of zones arranged in two dimensions including the depth direction and the time axis direction; a reference zone detection unit 43 for detecting reference zones on the basis of the number of individual fishes calculated for every plurality of zones by the individual-fish-number calculation unit 42; and a measurement range setting unit 44 for setting a measurement range on the basis of the reference zones detected by the reference zone detection unit 43.
