The present application is applicable to the technical field of computers. Provided are a method and apparatus for processing face value content of an invoice, and a terminal device. The method comprises: acquiring a code of a transaction object, wherein the code is used for representing the transaction object; acquiring a flag bit, which is pre-set and corresponds to the code of the transaction object, wherein the flag bit is used for marking the tax payment category of the transaction object, and the tax payment category comprises tax-free, no tax and zero tax rate; and outputting tax payment information, matching the tax payment category, about the transaction object to the face value of an invoice for the transaction object, wherein the tax payment information comprises a tax rate and a tax amount. The present application can fully and clearly embody tax payment information about a transaction object in the face value content of an issued invoice, thereby greatly facilitating subsequent operations, such as account making.
