A musical composition analysis device (1) comprises: a rhythm pattern detection unit (21) that detects the rhythm pattern of two or more musical instruments from musical composition data, or acquires information about the rhythm pattern detected by an external device; a pattern storage unit (31) in which patterns of sound emission timing of the two or more musical instruments are stored in advance by genre of musical composition; and a genre determination unit (22) that compares the rhythm pattern detected by the rhythm pattern detection unit (21) with the patterns of the sound emission timing of the two or more musical instruments stored in the pattern storage unit (31), and determines the genre of the musical composition data.
