#$%^&*AU2018214088A120191017.pdf#####We present a compact cavity-dumped Q-switched Er:YAG laser that produces pulses with 4.5ns full width at half maximum duration and OmJ energy which produces TEMOO beams at 1645nm. The power may be doubled by adding an additional pump laser, and combining via polarization optics and increasing the area of the pumped gain volume. This system could be used instead of the OPOshifted Q-switched Nd:YAG systems currently used in lidar range-finder systems.
