This decorative elongate material uses an elongate starting material (100) which has a cross-sectional shape formed from a plurality of radial lines (L2) and in which said cross-sectional shape is uniform from one end (1a) to the other end (1b) of the material and a cavity is formed in the center of the material, and the decorative elongate material is characterized in that on the side surface of the elongate starting material, a portion of each radial line (L2) is cut off along a side surface cutting plane intersecting the side surface, and at least a portion of the side surface has a tapered shape which narrows in the direction from the one end (1a) to the other end (1b).
