SELF-SERVICE SYSTEM IN SUPERMARKETS, CHEMISTS AND RETAIL ESTABLISHMENTS IN GENERAL AND SELF-SERVICE METHOD

The present invention patent application relates to a self-service system for the automatic sale of miscellaneous products in supermarkets and similar establishments, as well as to a method for the automatic sale of products. Said system is practical, innovative and secure, generating confidence in the purchaser and the vending establishment alike, making the purchasing process quicker, providing easy access for clients and ensuring against potential fraud. The purchased products are fully monitored and checked by a monitoring centre connected to high-precision digital scales that compare the weight of the products to the reference code thereof, and a verification system that compares the image of the product being purchased with an archive image. The client selects the products they want to purchase in purchasing stations fitted with two scales (5) and (10), a camera (4), a video monitor (1), an infrared barrier (8), a sealing machine (9), a bar code card scanner (3) and a bar code scanner (2). After the initial steps, the weight recorded on the scales (5) and the image generated by the camera (4) are checked and the product then has to be moved to the plastic bag in the second station, where the weight is checked on the scales (10) and the plastic bag is sealed.
