NOVEL METHOD FOR REDUCING THE EFFECTS OF BLUE-LIGHT-INDUCED STRESS ON THE SKIN

The invention relates to a method for preventing or slowing down the appearance of signs of ageing on the human skin or lips, generated by oxidative stress caused by exposition to blue light, or removing said signs, said method comprising at least one step of applying, to the human skin or lips, a topical cosmetic formulation (F₁) comprising, in relation to 100 % of its mass: (1) between 90 and 99.5 mass % of at least one cosmetically acceptable excipient, and (2) between 0.5 and 10 mass % of a composition (C₁) comprising, in relation to 100 % of its mass: a) between 90 and 99 mass % of at least one composition (C₂) comprising, in relation to 100 % of its own mass: (i) between 40 and 80 mass % of at least one compound of formula (I): HO-[CH₂-CH(OH)-CH₂-O-]_nH (I), in which n is a whole number higher than or equal to 1 and lower than or equal to 6, and (ii) between 20 and 60 mass % of water, and b) between 1 and 10 mass %, more particularly between 1 and 5 mass %, and even more particularly between 1 and 3 mass %, of an extract (EX) of the plant of the species Hedychium coronarium.
