Disclosed is a coal mine safety monitoring system. The system comprises an uphole part and a downhole part, the uphole part comprising a power source lightning arrester, a monitoring host and a standby monitoring host connected to a power source in sequence, wherein the monitoring host and the standby monitoring host are respectively connected to a heartbeat machine of a host-standby machine; the monitoring host is further connected to an uphole switch and a downhole switch in sequence; and the monitoring host is further respectively connected to a display, a printer, a big screen and a mimic panel; and the downhole part comprising at least one safety monitoring substation connected to the downhole switch, wherein the safety monitoring substation is respectively connected to a sensor, a circuit breaker and a direct-current power source. By means of the coal mine safety monitoring system, downhole environment parameters can be accurately reflected in a timely manner so as to achieve early prediction of a disaster and necessary handling of an accident, and the operating states of various devices can further be provided in a timely manner for production scheduling, thereby effectively directing production.
