A method for selectively leaching and upgrading high-titanium slag, which is carried out according to the following steps: (1) crushing high-titanium slag, and then placing the slag and a sodium hydroxide solution into an autoclave; (2) introducing oxygen into the autoclave, heating, stirring and preserving heat to complete acid leaching; (3) filtering and separating a material after acid leaching, and preparing acid leaching slag after the alkali leached material is washed with water; (4) placing the acid leaching slag and hydrochloric acid into an autoclave, then adding a crystal seed, and heating, stirring and preserving heat to complete acid leaching; (5) filtering and separating a material after acid leaching, and washing and drying the acid leaching product to obtain high-purity titanium dioxide. The method of the present invention may achieve the cyclical use of resources, does not generate industrial waste water and waste residue, and achieves green production.
