The invention relates to a load carrier (5) for transporting and storing a packaging unit (3) in an order-picking system, having a base (21) which comprises a transport and storage surface (22) on the base lower face; a first and second end face (23a, 23b); a first and a second longitudinal face (24a, 24b); a first loading plane (25) on the base upper face, said loading plane running between the first and second end face and being designed to receive the packaging unit; a first lateral wall (26a), which protrudes relative to the first loading plane, in the region of the first end face; and a second lateral wall (26b), which protrudes relative to the first loading plane, in the region of the second end face. In one embodiment, the first lateral wall (26a) forms a first transport ramp (29a), a first guide support (30a), and a first edge (31a). In a second embodiment, the load carrier (5) comprises the first loading plane (25) at a first height level and a second loading plane (25') at a second height level in order to receive packaging units with different widths. The invention additionally relates to a packaging unit transfer station and to an order-picking system for storing and picking packaging units.
